Are You a Winner?

I hardly ever have time to cook, but for some reason, I have a fettish for cookbooks. If you like to cook, or just like cookbooks you'll want to wander over to Molly Coddled and leave a post to try to win the cookbook she is giving away, but you better hurry because the giveaway ends tomorrow.

I never win anything. My friends always kid me because I used to always win the games at showers, but I have never won anything good. That's probably why I've never been tempted to spend money in the convenience store to purchase those little scratch off cards to try to win a fortune because there's no chance that I would ever win anything and I've never had the urge to go to Sin City (besides the fact I think it's wrong to gamble). I've always said when my ship comes in, I'll be at the airport.

But you know what, winning in life consists of more than money and/or things. I am a winner in many ways - I have a wonderful husband who treats me like a queen, I have three wonderful, very productive grown children and three beautiful, healthy grandchildren. I have the wonderful gift of salvation through Jesus Christ my Lord. I am the greatest of winners!!! Besides when I get to Heaven, I'll walk through gates of pearl onto streets of gold. There is no greater prize! If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it doesn't matter how many earthly riches you have, you are a BIG LOSER.

The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
