The Joy of the Lord is My Strength

This week has been way too much for me!!! Monday I went to the doctor for a physical, and of course, I heard those infamous words "You need to lose weight." On top of that I now have high blood pressure so I had to start taking medicine for that. Then Tuesday I had my yearly evaluation at work and I'll only say that I had a good overall evaluation, but I definitely have a personality conflict with one of my bosses, who is a female, and she is very difficult to work with. So, today I went for a job interview, and I think it went very well. I'm praying that God will give me this job. Would you please pray with me about it? Then, yesterday we found out our Pastor (who will soon be my step-daughter's father-in-law) has cancer. We are trusting the Lord with the outcome. Please remember to pray for him if you would. So, this has been a difficult week. I'm going to a Christmas get-together tonight and am looking forward to a nice end to such a hard week.

I'm glad you found me - we grandmas have to stick together! Did you find me through Barb at Chelsea Morning?

Sounds like a really tough week. I know what you mean about the evaluation thing. I worked for 10 years for a wonderful older man and could do no wrong. When he retired, our new director is a woman a year younger than me. I was supposed to be her assistant - lasted a year. We did not click at all. I went half time, which is when I started taking care of the kiddoes.

I look forward to sharing our lives. I've made so many good friends this way. I am technically challenged as well, but fortunately have a daughter who set me up and keeps me going! She is Mama's So-called Life, which you can find on my sidebar. It's her kids that I take care of.

Come back soon!
